Frequently Asked Questions

There have never been any 'officers' for the DCS Multi-year Reunion. Since 1994 Gail Finnerty Keech '71 has been responsible for locating a venue, publicizing the event through free publicity releases and handling registration and payment of expenses. Zero-based budgeting is the goal with fees for the dinner calculated to cover costs of the dinner and gratuity, 'earlybird' prize dinners and low cost memorabilia that serves as 'door prizes', bank fees, post office box fees and postage (over $100), web access and classmates.com membership and any other expenses needed to make this event happen.

There have been a few devoted people who have regularly assisted with registration at the dinners and offered help with other administrative tasks as needed since the DCS Multi-year Committee was formed in 1994. People who have helped each year include: Oscar Bennett '41, (in a nursing home 2006), Thelma Lisenby Bennett '42 (nonDHS grad in a nursing home 2004), Hazel Moon Carpenter '35, Harland Carpenter '31 (deceased 1999 but, he's with us in spirit), Robert Keech '41,Jean Finnerty Keech (parent and spouse of Dryden grad), and Gail Finnerty Keech '71.

Others who have helped with the dinners over the years offering assistance to contact fellow classmates, helping during registration, placing SHOPPER advertising and donating the cost and supplementing nametag supplies include: Laurence 'Beachy' Beach '35, Ruth Van Pelt Beach '37, Julius Budzinski (deceased), Barbara Humphrey Ensign ' 46, Roger Hatfield '58, Bette Burch Hollern '57, Willard Downey, Waneta Downey, Barbara Stuttle Hatfield '50, Charles Hatfield, Louise Hunt Harris '45 (deceased), and husband, Dwight.
